Position Open For Union Trustee on Company Pension Plan
The board of Unifor Local 191 is inviting expressions of interest from members willing to act as trustee/member on the Retirement Plan for Employees of Winnipeg Free Press and Canstar Community News (the Plan).

The Local has two trustee positions on the Plan committee – one is a voice-and-vote, currently held by Phil Hossack, and the other is voice-alone, which is vacant.
The Plan committee “is responsible for the operation and administration of the Plan.”
As the voice-alone trustee, you will represent the Local at all Plan trustee meetings and take part in discussions – but you do not have a vote. The Plan will provide training as required.
Pensions are complicated: The Local’s two trustees perform the vital role of liaison for the Local, it’s executive board and members in communicating developments, trends and possible scenarios.
If you are interested in this position, please contact the Local office, by phone or email, before end of business day August 15. All expressions will be considered but the appointment will be at the discretion of the Local Board.
