191 Needs Your Help

Local 191 is proudly a rank-and-file local, where members dictate the policies and direction of the Local. But we can't do our job without the members getting involved -- You Are The Union

There are vacancies on the Executive Board that need to be filled. The board meets 11 times a year, generally in the morning of the last Sunday of the month (but not on long weekends). The board, with direction from the members, sets the direction for staff to follow.

Not prepared to make a monthly commitment? We have vacancies on committees, including:
finance -- audits the Local's accounts.
investment -- meets when needed with the Local's investment advisor.
New committees looking for members include: organizing; health & safety; human rights; women; LGBT; and, Workers of Colour.
